Cassie Collins, PhD Licensed Professional Counselor

Dr. Cassie J. Collins received her PhD in counselor education from Texas Tech University.  She holds two master’s degrees (psychology and counselor education) from Angelo State University and Texas Tech University and a Bachelors of Arts degree in graphic design from Angelo State University.  She is a member of the Texas Tech graduate faculty and serves as an associate professor for the graduate counseling program at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas.  She has taught many different classes in the areas of psychopathology, human development and counseling.

In addition to her teaching, she has worked for many community agencies including outpatient mental health and intellectual developmental disorder facilities, inpatient hospitals, medical clinics, and group homes for individuals with intellectual developmental disorders.  Dr. Collins is a licensed professional counselor, a nationally certified counselor, and a Texas Department of Aging and Disabilities certified psychologist.  She has many years of experience doing group counseling and individual therapy with children, adolescents, and senior adults.  She has worked with relationship problems and conflict, victims of trauma and abuse, and also works with adults with depression, anxiety, and related disorders.
