May Is Mental Health Awareness Month

1 in 5 adults in America is living with a mental illness. This awareness month allows people everywhere to unite and create change. Here are three things that one can do to boost one’s mental health:

Track gratitude and achievement with a journal. Include three things you were grateful for and three things you accomplished each day.

Take time to laugh. Laughter helps reduce anxiety. Hang out with a funny friend, watch a comedy, or watch cute videos online.

Experiment with a new recipe, write a poem, paint, or try a Pinterest project. Creative expression and overall well-being are linked.
